To the Editor:

I strongly recommend Senator Rob O’Leary, Candidate for Congress in the Sept. 14 Democratic Primary Election.

Senator O’Leary is very strong on education. He has been a teacher and resident here in the 10th Congressional District for 34 years. He is currently chair of the Massachusetts Senate Committee on Education as well as a tenured professor at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

In the Massachusetts Senate he has worked hard to pass legislation that promotes educational excellence and accountability in our public schools. He can be counted on to continue to fight for adequate funding and educational reform as our Representative in Congress. As County Commissioner on Cape Cod and then as State Senator he has been a strong advocate for the environment and alternative energy helping to push Massachusetts into the national forefront in green technology, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

He has the courage of his convictions and gives clear and complete answers on his stand on the issues let the chips fall where they may.

This frankness is refreshing in an era of sound bites and spins.

Please give Rob O’Leary your careful consideration and by all means vote in the Sept. 14 Primary.
